Paula J Cartwright
Paula is an early career researcher at the Centre for Tropical Water and Ecosystem Research (TropWATER) at James Cook University in Townsville, where she undertakes a range of water quality monitoring, biodiversity and coastal wetland research projects. Paula's research is multi-disciplinary combining oceanography, ecology, and biogeochemistry whilst incorporating technologies including satellite imagery, instrument deployments and underwater video. She works with a range of government and industry partners, NGO's, and citizen science groups, with a combined larger vision of improving the quality, biodiversity and resilience of coastal habitats across central and northern Queensland. Paula holds an office bearing position on the AMSA national council (Communications), and has been an AMSA eNews editor since 2018.
