Paula J Cartwright
Paula is a senior research scientist at the Centre for Tropical Water and Ecosystem Research (TropWATER) at James Cook University in Townsville, where she undertakes a range of marine water quality monitoring, biodiversity and coastal wetland research projects. Paula's research is multi-disciplinary combining oceanography, ecology, and biogeochemistry whilst incorporating technologies including satellite imagery, instrument deployments and underwater video. She works with a range of government and industry partners, NGO's, and citizen science groups, with a combined larger vision of improving the quality, biodiversity and resilience of coastal habitats across central and northern Queensland. Paula is the current vice-president of AMSA (national council) and has been an active AMSA contributor since 2018.
