I am an PhD in physical oceanography at UNSW (Australia). My research interests are focus on coastal oceanography, specifically the estuarine environment. Particularly, I am interested in the interactions between estuarine hydrodynamics, sediment transport, biogeochemical processes, and their responses to anthropogenic and natural perturbations. My research approach involves a combination of numerical modelling, field observations and data synthesis and analysis. I use catchment models, hydrodynamic models and sediment transport models to simulate the estuarine dynamics and to assess the impacts of climate change scenarios. Overall, my research goal is to contribute to the sustainable management and conservation of coastal ecosystems, by providing scientifically sound knowledge and tools for decision making.
