Sheridan is a marine social scientist, specialising in gender-sensitive approaches to community-based fisheries management in the south Pacific. She is passionate about helping communities to manage their marine resources in a more inclusive and sustainable way, to ensure future generations can continue to enjoy the cultural, social, economic, and health benefits of fisheries.
