Andrew Martini
Andrew is the Program Director for the Ship Management Program, responsible for the Marine National Facility’s operations, governance, and stakeholder engagement. In this role, he oversees the safe and effective delivery of marine research capabilities and scientific outcomes, provides strategic leadership and direction, fosters key external partnerships and relationships, and leads financial, risk, and resource management to support the program’s ongoing success.
Previously, Andrew served as Research Director for the Engineering & Technology Program, where he led the development of next-generation marine instrumentation and oversaw the teams providing technical and scientific support to researchers aboard RV Investigator. Throughout his career with CSIRO, he has worked across marine systems engineering and the design and analysis of marine structures and mooring systems, while also leading long-term projects including buoyancy engine development, the design and delivery of field monitoring campaigns, and providing technical advice on Environmentally Friendly Moorings.
