Rebecca B Hull
Rebecca is an Associate Lecturer at the University of Melbourne, researching the effects of temporally variable environmental stress - i.e., stress that varies in duration and frequency, and aligns with different life-history stages. She works with marine invertebrates (bryozoans, ascidians) and monitors their performance - survival, growth and reproduction.
Rebecca's primary role in the School of BioSciences is education-focused, where she teaches, and develops curricula in, marine biology (and biology, ecology, zoology). She also conducts education research, investigating (1) students' development of skills (including data presentation/interpretation, written communication, self-reflective practices), (2) how students engage with Indigenous Knowledges and Indigenous ways of knowing in their subjects, and (3) students' confidence when undertaking self-directed field trips.
