Michele Thums
Dr Michele Thums is a senior Research Scientist at the Australian Institute of Marine Science working in the field of marine animal ecology, researching movement, behaviour and threats of a range of species from blue whales to marine turtle hatchlings. Her research uses telemetry to quantify distribution and important areas for these species, and understand the impacts of threats such as light pollution on marine turtle hatchling dispersal. Her research outputs inform conservation and management of threatened marine megafauna species.
