As part of the University of the Sunshine Coast's Dr. Holmes Lab I work in marine biology and ecology. My research focus is the multi-scale movement and habitat use of the tiger shark (Galeocerdo cuvier) off the east coast of Australia, with an added sub-topic of diet. This feeds into my larger interest in spatial ecology and species interaction. Currently, I use a range of tools for my work from eDNA and traditional dissections for dietary analysis, to video biologging cameras and satellite tags for movement tracking. Together, the aim is to unravel where tiger sharks move along eastern Australia, and the drivers behind that movement.
