Michelle Dyer
Dr Michelle Dyer is Assistant Director of Social Science at the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority. She leads the Reef Authority's social science program to meet internal Authority management needs and to help understanding of how we are tracking in the Reef 2050 Plan. She has a PhD in Anthropology and made the switch from academia to management nearly 5 years ago when she started at the Authority. This has been an interesting cultural experience and Michelle finds she spends much of her time now as a knowledge broker at the interface of science collaborations and management application.
